Archive of desirable futures

Because life continues as I get old

Your associations with "ageing"?
#To live
#Lifelong learning

Tell us more about your future of ageing. What's it like?
Imagine you are 72, 80 or even 99 years old: How and with whom do you live together?
...with my partner and some young and old friends around (not a shared living setup) in a small, lively and colourful city.
Who are the most important people in your life and how do you spend time with them? partner with whom I'll get "old" and do things together daughter who comes to visit me whenever she wants to friends with whom I'll get "old" and enjoy regular conversations
What is your sex and love life like in the future?
...happy sex and love relationship with a person I love (preferably with the one I am with right now)
Thinking into the future: How do you manage to stay mentally and physically fit?
Eat well, exercise, talk to & meet friends, learn from my daughter
How do you afford everyday life in the future?
...I wish there's a basic income
...if there's no basic income I hope my pension is high enough
Thinking of your future older self: What do you get up for in the morning?
...for life because it's not over just because I'm old; for my daughter and for the possibility to accompany her through her life

You're looking back at your fulfilled life and a much younger friend of yours asks about your secret of happiness and fullfillment. What do you tell them? What would you recommend to them?
Take good care of yourself AND most importantly of others around you. Ageing and living alone will probably suck.
